blemished out of the box and doesn't work on my 98 Cherokee XJ

when i unpackaged this thing it was already all scratched up on the screen, a supposed brand new device that is all blemished? lame. the other thing that sucked is that it definitely does not work on my 1998 cherokee, it says its connecting and then restarts every time before it can finish, but it DOES work on my 2005 G35, ill be keeping it for the g35 but damn now i gotta buy another one for the jeep, will be staying away from this brand for sure in the future

The functionality of this OBD-II scanner is truly satisfied with me. It offers some basic functionality, which includes the ability to read and clear codes. This scanner can also offer the ability to check pending, or soft, codes that haven't activated the check engine light yet, and provide access to a wealth of information.

Never judge by appearance. Although this item looks little, it has very useful functions. as described, it can read and clear trouble codes, read VIN and I/M readiness status and turn off the malfunction indicator lamp. There are something needs to be pointed in the following:

I'd like to give the item 5 stars. Although I have little knowledge about car inspection and maintenance, I can use it easily. As stated, this item can work on most 1996 US-based, EU-based and Asian-based vehicles, which are compliant with CAN (Controller Area Network) and all other current OBD2 protocols. The unit came with a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector which means no additional connectors or cables needed. And also there is no need to charge individually. And my eyesight is not as good as it used to be, I still can clearly read the info on the screen because it's equipped with large easy-to-read backlit LCD screen for information indication. In a word, it deserves 5 stars. And I'd like to recommend it to everyone else.

This little diagnostic scan tool wins the praises of my neighbor. I used it on several cars including my neighbor's. It can work well. This little tool can retrieve vehicle information (VIN，CIN, CVN), read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes, view freeze frame data and check I/M Readiness status to turn off the check engine light. I don't have to turn off the light to auto service center for such expensive price. In this way, I wanna recommend it to guys for family uses. It's very easy to use and store.
