Actually, I am amazed at how nice these stretch. I personally wear a ladies size 81/2W shoe and of course that is not big, but I always have to be very careful about socks not being too tight because they cut off my circulation, and after I put one of these on, a few minutes later I had even forgotten I was wearing it. I bought it to put on my husband's feet to heal bedsores because he is invalid and his legs are stiff, which makes his heels dig down into the mattress. Even though he has an alternating pressure air mattress. I am cutting holes in these exactly where his sores are, so the thin layer of silicone will keep the pressure off that one spot. with this little bootee, I can also add a regular bunion relief circle which will be held in place by this little sleeve. These sores on his heels are the only ones we have not been able to heal, and they are constantly weeping. He is just so lucky that they have not (so far) infected, as sepsis can set in quickly with bedsore wounds. Very happy with this purchase.

my back heel hurt after exercise, this gel cups seems to help me ease the pain a little. Though this could be a little thicker for more comfort, feel kinda thin and not enough support. It actually slide a little toward back heel after a couple hours wearing, had to re-adjust position kinda annoying. Overall decent quality. I wear this directly on my feet, then socks over it, staying cool, didn't feel warm at all so far.

It's not clear from the ad just how cushioning or securing these are, so I'll fill you in. These are a very thin gell-type plastic that is very stretchable, so they are not securing. Since they are thin, they are not very cushioning.
