As I have not had a chance to use this product, this review is based solely on delivery and installation.
When I ordered this product, I was given just over a week shipping timeframe. I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived in just days.
This product was fairly easy to install once I looked over the parts it came with and figured out what to do. The instructions that came with the package were close to useless. I appreciated that it came with two different size of bolts. The instructions tell you to use the longer set, but I needed to use the smaller ones because of the clearance between my roof and my cross bars. If you measure ahead of time, it will save you a little work.
I like that these can fold down when not in use. I have driven with them folded down and have not noticed any whistling or problems.
I would recommend this product.

This set of Kayak racks were a breeze to install on my 2004 Ford Explorer. They sit on top of the crossbar and are secured by a bottom bracket that sandwiches the rack to the bar. I am a 60 year old man in pretty good shape but had no problems installing these on my vehicle in about 20 minutes. Rack comes with two ratchet straps that provide the necessary support to cradle my 12' Kayak snuggly.

The folding outside arm allows for easier loading and the long arms are adjustable across a wide range.
Our 2017 Subaru Outback has built in cross bars which limit load width . Getting racks to allow separation and the angle to support the hull was a challenge. We tried fixed J racks, the Malone folding racks, and two other choices until we stumbled over these. As we age, getting the kayaks on the roof become more awkward which is helped by folding down the outside arm for loading.

The J Bar system was very easy to install on my Hyundai Santa Fe factory roof rack. I ordered it because the short end can be folded down towards you as you are loading the kayak. I load and unload alone, its nice not to have to lift the kayak OVER the rack to get it cradled. The ratchet straps are good. At first a little cumbersome to release but after a few times I got the knack. Wish the kit came with the front and rear tie downs or as a suggested option. Overall, its a good purchase for me.
