I have had difficulty reading some tiny print. Often the print is in a dark area and holding both a flashlight and magnifier is difficult. This magnifier fits the bill. Now a friend thinks he somehow got bedbugs, and I'm interested in seeing how it works hunting them down!
Battery compartment very difficult to open and magnifier is a bit heat, but not an issue for me.

I use this magnifier primarily when I work on jigsaw puzzles or to read tiny print. The built in light and brightness are as advertised and so far very satisfactory. However, I had a great deal of difficulty opening the battery compartment. When I finally opened it, installed the batteries, and closed the compartment, I then tried to open it again just to see if I could. I couldn't. I had to use a thin knife to start the process and then was able to open it the rest of the way. I hope that the batteries last a long time, because opening the compartment is going to be a pain. The fact that the magnifier is a bit heavy is not an issue for me.

Okay I like the Magnifying Glass. It does the job - BUT (and there is always a BUT). It is heavy- Very Heavy! I am always concerned it going to slip out of my hand and hit the floor! So far THAT has not happened. But it does the job I need it for. So if you are a weak wristed person you might want to try another one. BUT I am glad I bought it - Its built tough with strong lighting- So "FOOD FOR THOUGHT" as the saying goes. LWL Arlington VA
