Works well

This works great for detailed projects that you need both hands. My husband has used it to change a watch battery, fix glasses, and other small, detailed repairs. I took a star away because he looks silly in it. HAHA

Light weight and works well over glasses

As it comes out of the box, it works great. It's light weight and has plenty of room to wear my glasses underneath the magnifier. The lenses are optically very clear. There is no padding behind the plastic part that contacts your forehead. While I haven't experienced any discomfort from it, it does leave a mark on your forehead after wearing it for a while (but goes away in a few minutes). It does make my forehead sweat in that spot since there is no airflow but that seems to be true of nearly any magnifier out there. I can't comment on the light as I never used it before modifying the headset.
I wanted a very lightweight headband magnifier that was quick to take on and off and to adjust. I don't need the light as I work under a bright light at my workbench so I removed the battery pack, wiring, and wiring clips. This isn't really reversible unless you want to solder the wires back on but I was fine with that. I also removed the nose bridge support. Once all of that extra weight is removed, the headband is more than enough to support the very light weight of the magnifier. Now I can wear it for hours with comfort and can slip it on and off with ease.
It is designed so that you can attach 2 different lenses at once and multiply the magnification. This does work but the more increase the magnification, the more you reduce the focal point of the magnifier. If you double them up, you can end up with a combination where things are only in focus if held perfectly at the right distance with as little as a quarter inch of play either direction. Essentially useless for head worn magnification and hand held objects. But the 3.5x is plenty of magnification for my use and has a few inches of focal play.

I been using my head set since the 70's. I bought this one for a friend and it works as it should. I liked that it has different magnification to use. I feel this is a good buy
