It's phenomenal, other than the opener... Not my favorite.

Been carrying a Kershaw Blur on my hip for years. But I've recently started carrying clipped in my pocket. I've tried several knives and most are so big it's hard to reach past to get in the pocket. This is great because it's so thin. Also very nicely built and hides well.
Pros: sturdy, smooth action, super deep carry clip, tip down carry, very solid for how thin.

Cons: not sharp out of box/sharpened off center, handle has sharp corners that will wear through pocket, same for thumb stud, last Pocket clip is shiney stainless, why have a super deep carry conceal clip that stands out? Should be black.

Bought this as a backup steak knife for dinning out . Frustrating when steak house cutlery is sub par , which is often the case. If nothing else it's a cool letter opener.

Fit and finish is good , action is good( a smidge tricky at first being slim build).
Only complaint are , tip down carry and lock bar access isn't great making one hand closing difficult.

This is my first CRKT knife but I've been a long time knife collector and have a ton of other knives. The fit and finish is good on this knife and it has a very sleek and classy look and it looks more expensive than it is which is exactly what I wanted..zero complaints there. The blade is ever so slightly off center but doesn't touch the frame anywhere and does not effect function so that would be the only complaint about the fit and finish. I'm used to large folders for EDC but needed something specifically for special occasions or getting dressed up where pulling out a large folder to cut something is just unnecessary. I wasn't sure how I'd like this knife since I hate thumb studs and I'm used to a much larger handle but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Once you learn the thumbstud this thing can deploy like a rocket and it's one of the smoothest knives I own to close one handed. Just disengage the lock and give it a slight wrist flick and it drops as smooth as butter and the detent just pulls the blade back into the handle almost automatically. No issues there.

I did not like the fact that it's tip down only and the pocket clip is not reversible but again..I bought this knife for a very specific role and those things just don't matter to me like they do on my go-to EDC knives. Same with the blade steel...it's 8cr13mov which is just ok.. I would've paid a few bucks more for a better steel, but it's easy to sharpen and certainly not a deal breaker on a knife that only gets carried occasionally and isn't getting put to work all day long. The blade did come shaving sharp but I had to strop it to really make it shave effortlessly. The lock up is solid and I'm confident it's not going to fail under any normal use. Over all I think this is a very good deal for the money and just has a few downsides that stop it from being a dedicated EDC knife but for it's intended role it's money well spent and I doubt you will be disappointed if you're looking for a dress/office knife. The blade scales do look like carbon fiber and the over all look of this knife really makes a subtle and classy statement.

I would only deduct half a star if I could since I was fully aware of certain things like tip down carry before I ordered so I can't knock it too hard for that but I would like to have seen the blade centered up perfectly. On a side note, CRKT is now making this knife with a flipper instead of thumbstud, a reversible tip up pocket clip, and AUS-8 steel for the same price and I just placed an order for one. The pocket clip on the new version also looks more sleek and has no branding on it to give away the fact that it's a knife. It looks more like a heavy duty ballpoint pen clip which helps disguise it in a shirt pocket even better if that matters to you. That basically eliminates any complaint I might've had but time will tell which I prefer. I have not seen those available on Amazon yet so you'd have to order directly from CKRT or a few other knife sites. Just something to keep in mind if you're in the market for a knife like this.
