Easy to install and lights are bright and really like the running lights.

I use these out in our front yard to wrap around our tree. I purchased 8 boxes of them. According to the directions, the most you want to have in one "strand" is 4 boxes strung together. All the lights come on as the same time, but after a few minutes the "falling" becomes staggered so they're falling randomly and not all in sync which is a nice feature. The plug in for outlets are not outdoor approved. I just rigged up a couple pieces of tupperware that i can run the extension cord from the garage and the lights power supply in, close it up, and it keeps the Colorado snow out no problem. Would recommend these lights. I will probably buy more so I can get them higher up in our tree

For the price, the falling rain/snow/meteor (depending on color and your imagination) effect of these lights is fantastic. The lights fire in sequence down the tube, looking like a rain, snow or rainbow meteor shower. When you first turn them on, they are synced up, but the longer they remain lit, they fall out of sequence and fall into a pattern of falling rain, which looks very cool and unique.

I would not recommend for outdoor use as others have stated, without additional protection for the ac adapter. Very nice and inexpensive lighting good for holiday, wedding, or just overall mood lighting.

There many different sellers of this product which all seem to come from the same manufacturer. The only difference in them would be price and the quality of customer service of the vendor you choose to order from. I am happy purchasing these lights from this seller, they've done a good job.

Edit 1: After using these lights (indoors only) for 4-6 hours/day 2-4 nights a week, one tube on the blue set has started to malfunction. The rest still work well and even in the malfunctioning tube the rain effect still works, albeit with some glitches (one light is burnt out and a few others half-fire like an echo). It could just be a rare glitch, LED lights aren't perfect yet and the blue ones are most prone to malfunction out of any color (in my experience). My colored set is still working perfectly.

Edit 2 (11/9/2016): After updating my review, the seller contacted me to offer a replacement at no additional cost to me. I was happy and surprised to be PROACTIVELY offered a replacement. That's some pretty good customer service, I must say!

I got the replacement today (It shipped in far less time than the 10-14 day estimate they gave me). The set lights up perfectly and works beautifully. I have noticed one change in the replacement over the old one. The ac adapter has been changed and it looks sturdier than the older model. I still would bet it is not waterproof and if you intend to use these lights outdoors, please use caution and protect the ac adapter from moisture, and make sure you secure the lights/wires safely if they will be exposed to high winds, as the electric cord is not very sturdy and the weight of the LED tubes can cause them to sway in a wind (causing potential damage to the wires). This is general common sense for ANY outdoor decorative lighting.

I am setting up my holiday display for the season and am very happy I will be able to include the rain lights in my display. They really do look awesome.
