As always my order came 1 day earlier, thanks to amazon's extremely efficient delivery service. Ok, so speaking of the packaging, it was pretty well protected by a tight box inside a much larger box filled with protective paper. I was afraid that the light would come up broken as one reviewer said that his came up that way but no, the package was in absolute perfect condition so were the insides of the package which would be the light and the power cord. So now, for the light itself, at first I thought it was broken (circuitry speaking) as I mounted the lamp on my tank (which sits perfectly in the border, more on that later), plug it in and nothing, no white light, no blue light. I proceeded then to adjust the power cord making sure that both sides were absolutely well plugged and, it turned on perfectly! be careful with that power cord as it seems that the light end its a little bit loose. Now speaking of the light, IT IS BRIGHT, I mean really bright. the white configuration makes for an incredible daylight view of my tank and lets me see the quality of the water in ways I was previously unable to. the blue configuration its like a totally different game. it makes the fluorescent rocks of my tank bright in a gorgeous pink and also makes for a beautiful moonlight view for may tank. Now to the size, it sits perfectly on top of my 25Gal aquarium, although I noticed that if you get the whole extension of the "hands" of the light they come out all the way, so make sure you are not using them to their limit as they can detach and fall into the aquarium with sad results. It would have been a 5 stars rate easily if it wasn't for the plug and the extension issues but with all that im absolutely happy with my purchase and I definitely recomend this product for any one that needs a powerful, yet affordable tank light.

Product was ready to go right out of the box. It has two settings a bright daylight and subdued night light. I noticed that the daylight function has created a bit more algae, but it's worth it as the fish are more vibrant as are the plants. The switch is a very simple 3-way switch. Up for day, middle for off, back for night. My last light had a flimsy controller that gave me more options but it wore out. (Like who needs a thunderstorm option?) This switch is well made so I expect a long life. Great value for the money. Easy installation and adaptable to many size tanks

I got tired of the old tank light and decided to go with the LED.

It's a nice light with many options. Well worth the price

Bright is understatement, this light bright up the whole room and hallway to the room.

Works great highly recommend especially with a large aquarium.
