The wires are thin. I was worried that I could feel them in my ski boots, but no problem! First day Skiing, wore them mainly as a sock, only using them a short time. Second day skiing I actually had to turn them off-worked well.

This is an update to a previous one-star review I'd wrItten. My first pair seemed not to work, although I'm now wondering if it was "operator difficulty" instead of defective socks. I returned the first pair and was provided a replacement pair very quickly which are working great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that at $70, these socks seem quite pricey for what they are. But I have gotten a ton of use out of them for outdoor winter dining during the pandemic, cold walks and I'm sure they would be GREAT for skiing.
Previous review - Broke almost immediately. Very unhappy. Were nice before they broke. A bit thick so make sure you intend to wear them with shoes you can loosen up.
Adding to this review...one sock stopped working after two wearings and the other one after 3 wearings. :-(

I've only used them once but they worked great. There are 3 levels of heat adjustments; they are comfortable & I like the zipped compartment on the socks to hold the battery vs the the snap closure version. I was between the six guidelines & sized down even though it was advised to size up. The socks must be sized for men because they were a little bit big.
Very warm as expected.

I bought these socks for hunting season as my toes typically get cold to the point of pain after sitting in the woods in 30deg or less temps. I used at lowest heat setting and was very impressed that my feet did not get cold at all. I basically used a very thin under sock inside these socks and wear Sorel duck boots. Couldn't be happier with this product. Batteries lasted very well too.

Have used these multiple times over the last three weeks and they do the job. I'm out for 2 to 3 hours with temperatures in the twenties (F) riding my bike. Set on medium my toes stay perfectly comfortable the whole time. Had another brand that failed to heat after two uses (returned). Very happy with these.
