Great for a quick breakfast when you're on the go or you don't want a heavy breakfast. Something to hold you for awhile. Don't use too much water. Chocolate chips sink to bottom. Instructions say to "fill at line". However, it's recommended to use 1/4 cup, which is less. My son actually suggested it. I tried both ways and compared the outcome. 1/4was better. Not too thick or too thin.

The taste is over all pleasant and not dry. But if you're looking for a more maple flavor this doesn't fit that bill.
The maple are "small chunks" comparable to those small baking cocoa chip morsels.
Even thoroughly stirring to see the maple morels at the top before coooking there just isn't enough maple flavor throughout the pancake cup.
For me it was okay.
For my Mom she was NOT satisfied and even asked me if there was any maple flavor added in the one I ate.
If you don't care to have alot of maple taste throughout, I recommend.
For me I ordered more & may order even more when I run out of the ones I have now.

I was shocked how good these were. I make a lot of cup food in my dorm because all I have is a water boiler and a microwave to my name. If you're on the go, get these. If you're using them due to a lack of stovetop, I discovered COMPLETE PANCAKE MIX WORKS EXACTLY THE SAME!! Mix to a slightly-waterier-than-normal pancake mix consistently in a mug, microwave until floofy (about 1 minute in my microwave for 1/4 cup mix), and voila, exact same effect for a fraction of the price.
So, if you're buying for a breakfast on-the-go, great!! If you're buying for breakfast-without-a-stove, use regular complete pancake mix. Better for my student budget and less wasteful with packaging.

Yes. This is another super easy bowl style food item that is fantastic. I love pancakes but I cannot eat just a few. Then the heavy super stuffed feeling keeps me away from this old school tasty breakfast item. You get a case of cup sized containers with super easy directions to mix with water and microwave for 70 seconds. I then add a pat of butter and some syrup and enjoy the equivalent of about one decent size pancake; but in a more muffin size and shape from cooking in the cup. I have tried to remember to get waffles only to find them frozen and looking like a stalactite. But these are capable of storing outside the refrigerator and if you just make sure to mix the water and powder mixture; you will be happy with the taste and the relatively good nutrition information.

I buy these regularly for my fiancé who travels for work. He loves these. The flavor is exactly the same as a normal pancake. The chocolate chip brand does require outside syrup so it's not his favorite of the two flavors.
