It came in three packages because there was so much. There wasn't any instructions but a few YouTube videos and three hours later and I was up and ready sew. Its smooth and sturdy and definitely the best investment I ever made. Love it!
Update: If you are upgrading from a portable sewing machine you do need to buy new needles, the industrial ones will not fit. Just a tip!

Was incredibly hesitant to purchase this machine based on the reviews. Honestly I had purchased a few times and immediately canceled the order and there it would sit in cart. Until......I made the jump. I own 2 berninas 770's. Paid $14,000 for the two of those. I sew for a living. Was tired of replacing machines yearly and even sometimes twice a year. Was sold the 2 berninas under the usumption they would be want I needed. Nope, been in the shop more then I wish to say. Moving forward. Bought this machine and cannot...CANNOT say how happy I am with it. Granted, in the best interest of the company I agree that directions on how to assemble would be a great addition. But there are several very helpful YouTube videos. Once she's set up she's amazingggggg. Customer service was excellent and very quick to reply. I strongly recommend this machine.
