It took me a litte bit of time to get the hang of putting it all together . once i did, I just love the ease of grinding up meat and veggies. I have destroyed upper jaw, so i have to grind many foods, veggies and fruits up or eat baby food. i am not able tho to get chopper blade that was already in with screw on pied to unscrew to clean easier. need to find someone with strong hands. it has to come off as there is another size blade u can use . otherwise perfect gadget.

I looked at several, no, many meat grinders. I looked at manual and electric. I read the reviews as well as looking at them on YouTube. I was attracted to the harbor freight meat grinder that cost $50. I also saw a refurbished cuisinare meat grinder for $65. What convinced me to get this meat grinder was the drawbacks of the motorized ones. Their performance was great, if the nylon/ plastic gear didn't break. Nobody that experienced that problem was able to get a replacement gear. A further problem with both the harbor freight and cuisineer was that they could not be put in the dishwasher without removing the finish. This left the bear aluminum which when touched, left a gray residue, not something you want in your meat. This manual meat grinder has excellent reviews and completely eliminates the problem of ineffective gears and discoloration of the finish with the resulting residue on hands and meat. The materials of this meat grinder, are almost all plastic except for the cutting blades and The plate which are the essence of what makes it a meat grinder. I have ground a 15 lb shoulder roast that I bought from Costco. I followed the hints that were given by other reviewers of this product, as well as the hints that I saw on YouTube. I cut the pork into 1 in cubes, put them in the freezer along with the grinder, until they reached a temperature of about 34°. I used an InstaRead thermometer to determine the temperature of the meat. I took the near freezing meat and frozen grinder, using the suction cup, and ground the meat. Although you have to use your own arm for power, it worked as expected. If you are not afraid of using your own power, this meat grinder is a clear choice. I've only used it to grind 15 lb of pork shoulder so far, but it is operated flawlessly for that task. I would recommend this product. I have not been contacted by or offered any compensation by the manufacturer of this product.

I actually bought it for my mom as the ancient one broke. She used it and liked it. The 70 year old one had a broken clamp. We made one of my favorites together - Spam salad... yummy!

Esta máquina de moler carne es de las mejores para uso doméstico, yo la compré en noviembre del 22 y me decidí por esta y no por una electrónica porque para moler 3 o 4 libras de carne es perfecta y no la electrónica que hacen mucho ruido, la ventosa para pegar hasta ahora nunca se me despegó mientras estoymoliendo carne y se fija bien fuerte a cualquier superficie en mi caso la meseta de la cocina que tiene el papel que tiene la forma de granito que venden en Home Depot.

I bought a mettle one a couple months back because I was afraid plastic would not hold up, the mettle one lasted about 3 uses and made porley, this one is far superior in every way and I can tell it will last me a very long time.
