Purchased this to bore holes for my 3x3 fence post. Yes 3x3 is an unusual size but I got them cheap. The bore worked great through sandy loam but took some time and effort to get through clay. When it hit the clay I had to stop every couple inches and pull it up and clean the clay off. I do recommend it and it will really speed up your hole boaring for whatever reason you are boaring them.
