Great compact DMM to get a quick reading
Kenneth Ryan✓ Verified Purchase•August 8, 2023
Bought this to have around when I just need a quick reading and don't feel like pulling out my trusty Fluke 77 or don't want to risk it (e.g. working on the car - my old analog meter got eaten by the fan belt). It's nice and compact, fits easily in a pocket. Stores its probes in its case which is a huge plus. Fairly easy to use, but you need to pay attention because each setting on the wheel has 2 functions, and a button selects between them. I have not checked accuracy, but it doesn't seem to be wildly off at least. All in all, especially for the price I would not hesitate to buy it again if I have need for another one.
The best of the mini meters
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•July 15, 2023
I was on a quest to find a good mini meter, without sacrificing too many features. This is the best I've found.
Pros:
- Cheap
- Accurate (I tested with a precision voltage source. It ran a little high on all ranges, but the error was never more than .06v)
- The frequency measurement works fine at logic levels (I tested 2V and up). Many meters won't measure frequency on small signals, which is a bummer if you're working with microcontrollers.
- Very small
- self-explanatory UI, no real learning curve
- Some reviews complain about the continuity buzzer, but mine works fine. It's quieter than a typical meter but clearly audible for workbench work. It latches quickly and there are no bouncy scratchy noises when I move the probes around.
- Hinge mechanism and probe storage are less fiddly than I thought. I don't know if they've upgraded it or what, but I had no trouble parking the probes and closing the lid. It has a sliding latch that feels trustworthy.
Cons:
- Honestly, none I can really think of, except I wish it could measure duty cycle along with frequency. That would be deluxe for PWM signals.

Super useful

I work in electronics repair in a retail setting so having a meter I can carry in my pocket is the best
Fantastic to have, not great to rely on.

This thing is absolutely tiny, and I keep it in one of my vest pockets. Great in a pinch when you just need to check something.
Readings are not perfectly accurate. When calibrating a bunch of charge contactors, we found that this multimeter was consistently reading ~50mV too high. If you need precision, then get something better. However, the vast majority of time when what we needed was a basic multimeter, I was the person who always had one on me.

Could be a bit smaller as it is replacing a Micronta that was 1/4 in thick

Other than that it works great and is accurate. About and inch thick when closed to a little less than what I used to consider as a pocket meter but Microntas are no longer available and it appears no one currently has a thin meter.
