My 105 lb German Shepherd had such anxiety with our old ramp. Now he easily does 4 steps up and he's in the back of the SUV. It doesn't take up much room when folded up and is light weight. Our dog is getting on in years and as she ages, she can no longer jump into our SUV. Bought this for my aging Great Dane/Lab mix who is about 150 lbs. It's strong enough to hold her and it's wide enough to make her feel safe. We previously bought a ramp style (no steps), but it was too narrow and steep, these steps pull out quite a bit so it's much easier for her to maneuver and they have an anti-slip covering that helps a lot as well. This is a game changer for us, we can now easily take her on road trips again!!
