Works as advertised.
My at-home office is in a finished piece of my basement. The floor gets quite cold. If I simply wear socks, my feet will eventually get cold. If I wear slippers my feet get too warm and sweat then eventually get extra cold because they're wet.
This heated mat allows my feat to have airflow so they don't sweat while still staying warm.
Note: If you have odd sweaty feet like mine then I recommend wearing socks if you get the heated mat with the faux wood(the one I got). Going barefoot the bottoms of my feet got damp and then you've got a sweaty mat that smells 'wonderful' when it heats up. (I used a Clorox wipe to remedy this the first time)

This is a really really great product! I've used it for two winters now and it is absolutely one of the best purchases I've ever made.
I work from home since COVID started, and when it first started to get cold I was spending way more on heating than I wanted to. This mat alone has allowed me to save nearly 15% on my heating and electric bills since I can now comfortably set my thermostat 3-4 degrees cooler, and only very occasionally turn on the space heater in my office. It's amazing how much not having cold feet affects your perception of how warm a room is.
I've used this for at least 8 hours every cold workday (and some weekends) for two years now, and I have had no problems at all with the quality or safety of the pad itself, even though my cats briefly decided they wanted to use it as a scratching pad.
The only thing that isn't perfect about this pad is the rubber cover on the switch is very poorly designed. If you don't put your toe straight down on it when you press it, the switch cover can come off or get bent in a way that makes it difficult/impossible to use. When this has happened I have been able to fairly easily reseat it, so I didn't knock a star off, but be aware that this is a possibility.
