I have had 3 other adapters like this over the years. They were all noisy (even over car road noise), they all got hot, and the all eventually burned out over 2-3 long car trips use.
This one I never even heard on a 6 hour trip and it did not even get warm to the touch powering a 8 year old Dell laptop.
I am IMPRESSED. Not sure how they managed to pull that off compared to the others - and I am an electrical engineer. Hopefully it will last a long time too.

Five stars. I'm keeping the inverter. Its well made, insulated and easy to use. However, I'm not an electrician. I wanted to hook up a small 100W heater in my car. The vacuum aerator is out (way to go Ford), so no heat in Vermont. Anyway, hooked it up....went dark. 🤔 Too much power. I get tired of cars.
