Got this to replace my ancient Apple Airport Extreme routers. Install was simple. I used my old SSID and p/w but some of my devices wouldn't accept an SSID with a non-alphanumeric character. When I tried to reset it, it wouldn't accept a new SSID. A call to Eero support had a short wait, and the tech set it up from his end. I had good speed in my house (about 250 mbps) but I also had ethernet cables in my house. A simple daisychain (backhaul) gives me 550mbps now. My house is small, about 1800 sq. ft. Note that because the house is small, the speed can drop a bit when going from room to room because your device is set to the Eero it was last connected to. By turning off wifi and turning it back on, the Eero will again find the strongest signal and reconnect. This isn't a big deal.

It's interesting to see that Eero support can control your stuff remotely. Maybe Amazon has a bit too much control here. I don't know if this is any cause to be concerned.
Seamless Connectivity -- You won't regret buying these!

The Amazon eero 6+ Mesh Wi-Fi Router has truly transformed my home network experience. After years of frustration with constant router resets and unreliable connections, this router has been a game-changer. The eero 6+ offers remarkable network reliability, ensuring that my internet connection remains strong and consistent throughout my home. It handles a variety of devices simultaneously, from smartphones to smart home gadgets, without breaking a sweat.

One standout feature of the eero 6+ is its flexibility. Not only can you set up a mesh network with multiple eero devices to expand coverage, but you can also wire them together via Ethernet using Cat 7 cables. This feature allows for an even more stable and faster connection between eero units, making it perfect for homes with a mix of wired and wireless devices. The ability to create a wired backbone within your mesh network is a significant improvement over older routers, where reliance on Wi-Fi alone often led to performance issues and dropped connections.

Compared to older routers, the eero 6+ has been a revelation in terms of stability and reliability. Gone are the days of constantly resetting the modem and routers to get a decent connection. With its automatic updates and regular software improvements, eero ensures that your network remains secure and optimized for the best performance. Overall, the Amazon eero 6+ Mesh Wi-Fi Router has brought peace of mind and a significant improvement in connectivity to my home, making it an excellent investment for anyone seeking a hassle-free and robust Wi-Fi experience.
EASY, FAST, REASONABLY PRICED

Next day shipping on this well-priced product (I paid $189 for the 2 pack) and it was up and running within a few minutes. It's literally plug and play, with a couple of very minor entries into the Eero app, which you must download prior to setting up.

I'm not extremely technically savvy, nor am I complete dope. I'm comfortable trying all kinds of new technologies, but I don't get super into the weeds on upload/download speeds. I want to be able to stream entertainment, take zoom calls without dropping, and just live my online life without drag, drops, or annoying inconveniences.

I live in a large-ish NYC Pre-War apartment with bomb shelter thick walls, often a killer for good wi-fi coverage. I set up two Eero units and now have strong wi-fi in every part of the apartment. The difference between the old router and the Eero is enormous. It just works, it was easy to set up, and I don't regret the amount spent.

I will, and have already started to, recommend this to friends in similar situations. This is a terrific product.
Simple Yet Robust With Excellent WiFi Coverage

I recently bought the Amazon eero 6+ mesh Wi-Fi system, and my experience has largely been positive. I opted for the 4-pack version, which has transformed my home's internet connection significantly.

Setting up the system was quite straightforward overall, but I did encounter a minor hiccup during the process. The first eero unit I attempted to install initially didn't want to register with the network. However, I easily bypassed this issue by simply switching to another unit, which worked flawlessly. The initial unit was then registered as a node with no further complications.

One of the greatest strengths of this system is its impressive Wi-Fi coverage. My house is constructed with cinder blocks and cement walls, which can often be challenging for Wi-Fi signals. But, with the eero 6+, everything, from the Ring doorbell cam at the front door to the Ring camera in the backyard, receives an excellent signal. This is a huge leap forward from my previous internet setup.

On the downside, while the eero 6+ allows you to block individual devices, I was disappointed to discover that it lacks the option to block all new devices from connecting to the network. This is a feature I routinely used with my previous Netgear Nighthawk routers and found to be extremely useful. There is a possibility this feature might be included in the paid eero service, but I'm not certain. And speaking of the paid service, it seems rather steep at $100 per year. I don't believe it provides value that matches its cost.

The Amazon eero 6+ mesh Wi-Fi system is a good to great option for those new to the mesh Wi-Fi world, particularly if you prefer devices that don't require much tinkering. However, if you're a user like me who values access to advanced configurations without having to pay a premium, this system may fall short of your expectations. Nonetheless, for its seamless setup and exceptional coverage, the eero 6+ has its merits.
Definitely improved Wi-Fi in my home
Cranky24/7✓ Verified PurchaseJune 3, 2023
Our home is not large nor is it old construction with solid plaster walls. However, the router provided by our ISP was sub-standard. And, given that I reside in a rural area where cell phone service is spotty at best, this means that I must have reliable wi-fi. Now that the Eero system is in place I haven't noticed any dropped calls and my devices - Echo Dots, Echo Shows, Fire tablets, and one TV that relies solely on wi-fi - all show "Excellent" or "Very Good" signal reception. Certainly didn't have that with my ISP's router! (I should note, too, that while I purchased the three pack, I only installed two Eero devices. No need to waste the electricity on a third. As I mentioned, our home isn't that large.)
But, only four stars for Customer Support. Setup is fairly simple with the app, that's true. However, you will need internet service that does not rely on wi-fi for the set-up. And, where I live, that simply isn't possible. I had to contact Tech Support. I suspect the Tech I spoke with was in training because it did seem as though she had to check with someone each step along the way. That doesn't bother me in the least - we all need to learn. What did bother me, however, was that the Tech insisted on going through rote steps to 'check' things when I was 100% certain the issue wasn't a cable and wasn't my ISP and, no, my internet service wasn't experiencing an outage. Just be forewarned - if your home requires wi-fi, then set-up will be difficult. It is best to simply download the app BEFORE you try setting up the Eero. This way you download the app using your existing wi-fi before you disconnect that connection to plug in the Eero! A fairly simple fix that Tech Support took too long to get to. Oh - and one other thing you may find helpful: I had my living room TV hardwired directly to the old router. This meant that there were two cables going to my old router. Both are white. The Eero directions state that the Eero can handle such cables in either port. HOWEVER, Tech Support insisted that I plug in only the cable coming from the modem. Well, which one was that? My cables are in covers to keep everything neat looking; both cables are white. If you have more than one cable to your router and intend to plug both into an Eero, you may want to mark which is the modem cable. So, all in all, while set-up wasn't completely seamless, the fact is that I could have figured it out on my own without Tech Support if I had only NOT followed ANY of the directions that come on the little card with the Eero package and simply downloaded the app before I disconnected my ISP router.
