I had an old Netgear99 wireless router with two extenders in my 3,500 square foot house and was continuously having to manually switch from one to the other when I moved through the house. Didn't realize how old the router was (eight years) and how poor the communication was between the router and the extenders. No more! The Eero is amazing! Seamlessly connects all of my devices (and there are many) as they move through the place without any need to intervene.
I maybe should have mentioned the tech support which is BEYOND NONE! Andrew and I exchanged more than a dozen emails as he worked with me on one of the satellites that was stuck in setup mode. Didn't really hurt anything except the light was blinking blue instead of solid white. He got my permission to access the system remotely and fixed it. Had this for over a month and wouldn't give it back no matter what. Just do it. Update your wireless to a Eero mesh today.

First gen Eero provided 75 mbs download via WiFi. Getting 300 via WiFi and 600 WiFi via access point that is wired via Ethernet to main router. Hard wired there is zero degradation in throughput. Noticeable differences in both speed and stability. However we do have issues with older devices not liking the 6e and this is where the backwards capability comes in. We have two devices in our home that just didn't work with the new mesh system so we used two of the older pucks and placed them next to the devices that were not working with the 6e and that solved our connectivity issues with those. One is our pool pump via iLink and an older lg tv that just did not like the 6e pucks.
Stable and good coverage

I'm in IT and manage wireless for Enterprise class wireless systems. My wife was very patient with the years of testing gear at the house. Unfortunately using enterprise grade wireless in a residential deployment has a downside for interoperability between all the IOT devices we have in the home. Some Ring cameras have an issue with 802.11r, Sonos would flake out from time to time, rebooting and upgrading APs was a normal operation to get wireless back online.
We finally got tired of trying to use the high end enterprise grade APs in the house. During a deal, we pulled the trigger and bought the Wifi-6e kit. Setup was a breeze and the device fingerprinting worked better than the previous system I was running. Integration with the new Echo devices, as wifi extenders, filled in a few weaker areas. Creating a dedicated IOT wireless LAN separate from my trusted devices was possible by renaming the guest WLAN.
Traffic monitoring of the profiled devices helps to keep Comcast honest on our monthly bill for any data overages. Also helps pinpoint the device consuming the most bandwidth.
I built a similar system in my mother's home. You can manage multiple homes wireless by being added as a shared admin. It's pretty nice to toggle between Mom's house and our own to monitor everything is running well or profile new devices being added.
I'd recommend the system to anyone, especially those with new Amazon Echo dots in their home. The wifi extender functionality help ensure coverage in far off rooms.

The best home router in my opinion

It has been a long road, but I very happy with the Eero mesh kit!
I was an early purchaser of an Asus Wifi 6 gaming router. When I upgraded, I used my existing Asus router in combination with their AI mesh software. Unfortunately, wifi phone calls would drop when the router would hand off to the other. I then switched to the Nest mesh wifi. While there were no dropped calls with a handoff, there was intermittent signal loss and speed issues. Next, I purchased an Ubiquiti dream router along with a U6 mesh node. The software was excellent and there were no signal losses. However, the speeds were not great at all. Apparently, the CPU is limited on what speeds it can deliver even with an ethernet cable.
I saw the Eero system on sale for Black Friday so purchased it and have been very impressed. It seems to be the complete package--flawless hand off when switching nodes, no signal losses, and great speeds. On the Ubiquiti mesh point, I would get around 300 Mbps down. On the Eero, it is 900+ (whatever I am receiving at my primary router). They both were hardwired.
I do agree with some of the others--I think Eero puts too many software/router options behind a paywall. I also wish they would have added 2 of the 2.5 gig ethernet ports instead of 1 although it will be years before many would truly need this.
Overall though, extremely satisfied. I have been a techie for decades now and the Eero is one of the best performing products I have ever purchased.

So I was skeptical at first. Not skeptical enough not to pay over $300, but still wasn't expecting these to be as good as I've heard. My house has multiple tvs/streaming devices on all 3 floors, every major streaming service, and I work from home with a data heavy (constant video conference calls). We're typically at 1.5 to 2TB of data per month, using Comcast's XB7 gateway.
I never got my advertised 1.2GB download speed. ~80MB/s was more typical, on good days, 300 to 400mb/s could happen, and I good count on my hands how often speeds got above 800mb/s. This isn't to mention the many deadspots in my fairly small house that Xfi pods didn't really help with. I was at my wits end.
I'm in day 2 with Eero setup. I'm consistently getting 1.4 GB/s downstairs, and consistently 600 to 900 in previous deadspots. Still a lot of time to go sideways, but as of right now, I'm a believer!
