My parents should have gotten this reading aid long ago. I'm 66 so you can imagine the age of my parents. It's a game changer to help when have trouble reading, whether it's the lighting or magnifying. My parents spend so much time together reading in their kitchen, this reading aid helps so much, as they both love to read. My only hint is in installing the 3 AAA batteries: try putting in the middle battery last.

I'm mostly happy with this magnifier. First off I have to say that it is not glass, as advertised. It's definitely plastic. But the light is super bright, dim or blue toned which is great. The size is perfect for my bible but my eyes aren't used to it yet. Toward the end of the book it can get the last word blurry but overall it's a great tool.
Problem: you have to hold these in your hand.

This a great product ...except you have to hold it in your hand to use. So if you have a book that does not lay FLAT you need 3 HANDS to both hold the book open and to hold the page magnifier. I had to buy a weight to hold open the books I read. Didn't matter if the book is either a paperback or hard cover; many hard back books and all paperbacks don't lay flat. The magnifier works well once the distance from the page is worked out. Comes with a little bag to store the magnifier in. It's light weight and easy to hold and has battery-operate lighting system. You just need either a weight to hold the book open... or 3 hands.
