The reviews for this are spot on. Overall for a power rack with smith machine you won't find a bette price. The flaws were: 1. Instructions aren't the best but able to figure it out. Probably four hour project if by yourself. 2. Just as everyone said it's a little flimsy, smith machine will definitely shake but not terrible. 3. Cables are great, might need some grease as everyone stated but we haven't had any problems moving it up and down. So many more options for work outs with this machine. 4. Weight holders don't seem sturdy but we bought 200 lbs in weight and it holds well enough. We like the weight holders on both side which is a plus, it helps keep machine steady. If they had at least made this part with heavier steel it probably would have solved the problem.
The pros of the machine outweigh the cons. Great smith machine for squats/lunges/deadlifts/hip thrusts (although need a small bench as the width of the rack seems smaller than others). Cable/pulley system is great, haven't had any problems. Actually don't need too much weight to get good tension which is nice. I would invest in better cable hooks cause the ones it come with are small, easy fix though. Overall this is an easy way to have a complete home gym.

I gave 5 stars because it could be great once I fix it, it could be great, and being a Chinese product what can you expect?
Good thing we have a welding machine.. got as far as step one and a weld busted while I was tightening bolts. Took it out to the garage had to grind it down so it won't have the paint on that area but not a big deal since it's indoors, welded it back together.. not a big deal for me still could be a great machine, but definitely was not expecting to have to weld a product that should only need some bolts threw on it..
also I actually sell nuts bolts and fasteners for a living and this is the lowest grade. 4.8 is about a grade 2 equivalent.. if you're not impatient like me I would definitely buy a 10.9 bolts but who knows maybe they will hold up..
Also if you do have to weld this stuff is super thin!

So far so good with this machine. It was actually fairly easy to put together. Everything went together with 17mm and 19mm wrenches. All the bolts are zinc plated and use nyloc nuts so you don't have to worry about things loosening up. I'm looking forward to using this for years to come.

Overall, this is a very good value for the price.
If you are in the market for a smith, definitely consider this one.
I've been lifting for 20 years. I've had the power racks and heard all the one liners about smiths..
After 2 surgeries and severe arthritis, a smith was the best option.
This one included all the features I wanted at the best price, period.
-Its rated to hold 450+ on the smith bar and pulley system.
- Its rated to 300 on the external catches.
- The pulley action is smooth (and quiet)
- Smith bar is, or is close to 45 lbs.
I wanted a machine without the peg and bolt smith catches- i had one and the pegs tended to bow with heavier loads.
The numbers being laser cut into the frame is a big plus too.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with it. The welds all looked perfect and it was well packaged. All hardware was there and even a spare parts bag.
At the price point, its a solid machine to consider.
Even has linear bearings- for less than 1k..

It will shimmy slightly when loaded, but I expected that from other reviews. Same as any I've used that aren't Cybex, or Hammer.
Assembly is straightforward and easy.

Update: after using it for a bit, I like it even more. I did make minor adjustments to the cable for tension purposes. This machine provides good depth and essentially having the smith bar in the middle means plenty of room if doing smith squats ,calf raises etc. Having the cables attached on the front of the cage is super convenient too. They can be used in unison or singularly. Either way its smooth. The flexibility offered with top to bottom adjustment is perfect for any exercise, no matter your stature. Very pleased with the functionality and glad I made the purchase.
