I bought this for my 95-year old mother to use, and she loves it! Keeps it right next to her chair. It covers a large area, is *lightweight* (critical for our elders), easy to turn off & on, and it doesn't make you dizzy to read what's being magnified. She uses it to read her medicine bottles as well as any small type in articles & newsletters. I think having a battery instead of having to recharge it is simplier. It's so lightweight, too! (I have to mention again.)

My old Rottweiler loves the bed. Its roomy enough for her to move to different positions. The only problem is the cover isn't made where it can withstand frequent vacuuming. Looks as though it will tear.
