We actually had one of these with a Kitchenaid mixer we later gifted to our daughter several years ago. Since then, my wife got another Kitchenaid mixer, and this is the perfect kitchen accessory. Many of us in southern Louisiana like to make our own sausages and boudin, and this meat grinder/sausage making attachment allows much culinary creativity whether it's simply grinding different blends of meats, or filling casings for homemade sausage. the attachment is easy to assemble and connect, and appears to adhear to Kitchenaid's well known level of quality, something we've never had to question with this brand. The Kitchenaid stand mixer has always been more than just a mixer, and this grinder attachment allows that to shine. A+

I've used the Kitchenaid brand meat grinder for years. This grinder is pretty complete and nicely made.
I like the all metal housing. It includes 3 different grind sizes and has a nice sized hopper. It attaches to my Kitchenaid mixer perfectly.
What I don't care for is the plunger being used for parts storage. Grinding raw meat can be messy. Using the plunger with raw meat means you have to remove all the unused parts in order to not contaminate them.
Only 1 large sausage funnel is included. It's fine for large sausage such as kielbasa but is too large for breakfast sausage links.

After learning about pink slime, I decided it was time to grind my own beef. This attachment fits my Costco KitchenAid mixer perfectly! It has three different grinding blades, and it does exactly what it was designed to do. I also like that it stores into itself so it's pretty compact and takes up little cabinet space and bonus, it keeps it all in one place.
I haven't tried the OEM version of this, but I can't imagine it being any better, so I would say this is great option for a good price.

I used the meat grinder for the first time today and I am very happy with it. It is lightweight but solid. It comes with a lot of attachments for any variety of mincing meat and sausage making. We he little pusher to push the meat through to the grinder is made out of plastic but it is unique. It stores all the attachments in the top!
