I don't usually leave a lot of reviews, but this was definitely a case of I don't know how I ever managed without it. There are three light settings, I'd describe them as: a bright white; a more yellowed tone; and a moderate, soft blue tone. Surprisingly, I have found all three useful for different tasks. Some things I use mine for: those tiny instructions on the backs of tiny boxes; my DIY mani/pedis; needlepoint; sewing. Definitely get the magnifier that comes with a stand as it is also infinitely helpful.

I was tired of the round handle magnifiers with a handle that you could not see more then a couple of words at a time. This magnifier with LED lights is the best I've found. After ordering the first. I ordered another for each of my reading locations. You can see the entire page, It's light and not as heavy as the round magnifiers, easy to hold, and the adjustable lights help. If you're having trouble seeing, this is the magnifier you want.

The size is good, fits most book pages. The 3 different lighting modes are excellent. My wife uses this to take small sized data from pages and enters it into a computer program; it worked really well. I was concerned about the plastic lens, but it is clear and sharp. Just be aware that it will scratch. My only negative is that there is no way to hold it easily without covering some of the lights. I wish it came with a small adjustable stand so you didn't have to place it directly on your work or hold it with two hands.
