I loved the first pair

this is my second pair. I loved the first pair, but the spring broke. I ordered a second pair, which worked good on woody stems, but the tip of the shears just smash the softer stems, like when you are dead heading roses....it is disappointing, but I will keep them because they cut the woody stem with so little effort.
I like the first pair enough, to someday try a third pair, in hopes that the tips would cut right, like the first pair...

WHOA! These are incredible!! I had questions about how to easily lock/unlock them, and this company responded quickly-- even provided a video...imagine, customer service on pruning shears HA! These shears do a beautiful job, and are so easy to use-- FINALLY, after having to buy new pruning shears year after year, I've found the ones that will be a fixture in my garden toolkit! I bought one for my 86 year old father last Christmas and he loves them for trimming rose bushes. I tried them out a few weeks ago. They are light weight and very easy to use. It hardly takes any pressure to cut small branches so I bought a pair for me. They also work great but are harder to close when I'm done than my Father's were. Still this is a great tool for people with carpal tunnel or arthritis. I am glad I found these.

just received this, it took 30 min to unlock. I just spent the last hour trying to lock it again. still wont lock and my hands hurt from trying. what do I do now, this was a gift for my sister who has arthritis but she'll never be able to work them.
Great Garden Shears for Arthritis Sufferers

These are great. I bought them because I have increasing arthritis in my hands and wrists. They make trimming branches much easier. The ratchet action makes cutting smoother and takes much less pressure. The only problem was the amount of pressure required to close them after use. I finally found that if I put them on the counter or workbench and pushed down they closed easily. I'm glad it's not too easy because sometimes I find shears opening and closing on their own, which makes them difficult to use. No such problem with these shears.
