Sliding lock doesn't!

The plastic locking slide does not fit properly and requires 2 hands and multiple tries to lock for both myself and my wife. I purchased 2 other pairs of pruners at the same time in the same price range and either of them are far more convenient to use if you're going to pocket the tool between uses.

This sharp little pruner is easy to operate and pretty sharp. Push the button down and the handles spring apart. Squeeze the handles together and push the button up (like a box cutter) and the handles are in lock down mode. Works great!
