They are of very good quality, however, I'm not sure they can resist the bite of a snake. I do not want to put it to the test but they look very good for it.
I think with good pants, and some hiking socks, I think these Gaiters could resist a bite of a medium or small snake. I'm going to use them for the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica, and they seem to do their job well.

4 alaska trips dragging these things through the thickets stuff imaginable. They do what they're designed to do. They have stayed intact, and keep going on more trips. Guys I hunt with have trashed name brand ones and I just laugh in my 20 dollar bulletproof ones.
