Some of the plastic construction is on the thin side. The sound is great for it's size. The battery life is phenomenal. The tuner is good for a pocket radio. I can get mid West stations from Chicago and Iowa from the East coast. FM reception is as good as more expensive radios.

I am really pleased with my great little transistor radio. When I received it I thought to myself that this little lightweight radio is not going to work! I put the batteries in, put on my coat and walking shoes, and went for my healthy walk with my little radio. I was pleasantly surprised that it works pretty darn well and I am so happy. In fact, my internet service went out for a few hours that same day and I was upset as I wanted to listen to talk radio which I am normally able to through my internet system. Instead, I turned on my little radio, and BINGO, I was able to listen through my transistor radio!

Had to replace iconic Sony of 10 years ago because of partners bathroom accident. There was some trepidation because out of the box this model looked skimpy. Surprisingly on FM it worked much better. Picked out the station I wanted and held on to it. Definitely improved technology. AM seemed to work as well. Nice clear sound from speaker also. Much lighter than the older portables at a more inexpensive price.

I bought one over a year ago and loved it. My work has some sort of wifi blocker so I can't use my airbus and phone to listen to radio. The original one was dropped way too many times. People were astonished that it would still work after so many tumbles. It still works but the tuning red line is now stuck on my last radio station and it is harder to move the dail.
