Final update: Although it has been nearly a year later I felt it necessary to update this review because it has received so many upvotes and I did not want to be a liar considering new information.

ABSOLUTELY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE THIS HEATING PAD.

I loved this heating pad. It WAS the best I ever used. I'm mourning it like a pet or a beloved plant. So WHY might you ask would I insist you don't give these wretched people your money? Because their product is a lie, their service is horrible, and they're literally scamming people. I've used this pad about a dozen times and while I typically cover it with a towel or slip it into a pillow case so the heat doesn't make it accumulate more skin oil I decided it was time to wash it after this last use. Having purchased it BECAUSE it repeatedly said it could be washed in the machine I assumed this was the case. It also said this on the pad itself, paperwork in the box, as well as on the box, with instructions for washing. I followed those instructions and didn't dry it in the dryer though it said you could. Plugged it in.. it's dead. I didn't have much hope for the company since they already spammed me with junk mail/email offering free products for reviews but I gave it a shot. Maybe they'd at least tell me if I did something wrong so if I replace it it won't happen again, or maybe just maybe honor the LIFETIME WARRANTY on it? No. They flippantly sent me a copy of the washing instructions, as if I can't read, and didn't just tell them in my previous email that I read and followed the instructions ON THE PAD. So, save your money, do not buy Cure Choice. They're just going to sell your information, send you crap that can't be used as stated, and run when they've got your money.

Update 2months later: I feel like it should be mentioned this company is one of many that will send you solicitations after you receive your product promising if you review their product they will give you a gift ect ect. Normally I don't respond to those because let's be honest, most of them are scams. I did really like this heating pad though so I didn't mind and the information was very professional so I figured "eh.. free gift maybe. Ok". They made contact and everything, requested further information to prove the review and "ship the gift" and then... you guessed it. Nada. Which is fine. But I guess what I'm saying is take my review with that in mind, that I was promised product to provide it, and I'm saying it now because frankly.. I find that annoying. All parts of it, my own sheep-like compliance included. Buy it or don't buy it, but now you have all the information.

This heating pad is super soft and comfortable. I really appreciate the fact that the cord disconnects and the whole thing can be washed as one of my biggest complaints with previous pads is the cover sliding around or just getting dirty not being washable. I use it mostly for menstrual cramps and back pain and it is very comfortable for this purpose. It has a decent timer so you can sleep with it and it won't shut off ridiculously quickly or stay on way too long.

My only issue is pretty minor and it's the fact that the button itself is too easy to push and as you move around it tends to get hit.easily and turned off. It could also be a bit hotter, but it's negligible.

Over all it's the best I've ever purchased, and the best value. Considering how many I've been through that's saying a lot.

It gets warm, but it's not very user friendly. If needed for a back where you can lay on it, or drape it over a knee, etc., the it would probably be okay. However, I purchased to provide warmth to a painful shoulder and there is no way to hold it in place except by constantly holding it in position. Some velcrow type straps would be a big help. Yes, it works, but difficult to use for me.

Decent heating pad, still kind of works after 3 years if you bend the cord a certain way. Time for a new one.

I'm being treated for pain by an occupational therapist for degenerative arthritis on both wrists and muscle inflamation on both of my forearms. Part of the home therapy program involves applying heat to my wrist and forearms on a daily basis for thirty minutes on each side. Rather than going through the bother of boiling water, soaking a towel in the hot water, wringing it out and letting it cool enough to apply to my arms, I'd purchased and had been using heatable beads that are packed in a blue gel that could be placed in velcro cases and strapped to my arms. While less of a hassle than the towels, the beads still had to be soaked in hot water (instructions said they couldn't be heated in a microwave unless covered in water). Moreover, the bead packs were so small that I could only cover one area of the arm at a time. Even more of an issue, the heat would dissipate quickly and become non-effective within 15 minutes. To properly treat my arms, the whole evolution took in excess of two and a half hours! Enter the Cure Choice Large Electric Heating Pad. The pad is actually large enough for me to wrap both of my arms at the same time, although I do have to hold on to the end with one hand to keep it in place. The heat stays on for as long as I want and I can adjust the temperature, as required. I now complete my daily heat therapy in one hour, lying on the couch while watching TV. No more having to go to the kitchen, grab a large bowl, boil water with the bead pack, apply to half an arm, repeat three times, wash the bowl and put it away in my cupboard. The whole ordeal was really a disincentive to follow the treatment plan at all. I swear, the convenience and the effectiveness of this heating pad changed a real big hassle into pure pleasure. Highly recommended for anyone undergoing heat therapy for the arms.
