Overall, we like the bike. I bought it for my teenage son to commute 17 miles to work through hilly country. I'm not sure how you get the rated 50 miles or whatever it says in the description - downhill or maybe flat. We've had the bike for a month now and ridden it around town and it has been great. But, he did a test drive to work the other day and came home immediately, and the battery died around 26 miles, so about half the claimed rating. It will work for him, since he'll be able to charge the battery while he is at work, but the battery isn't as good as it said it would be, and I imagine it will wear out and maybe not be able to go the full 17 miles after a year or so.

The speedometer tops out at 21 mph no matter how fast you go which is weird as well. I understand the motor has a limit, but I would think the speedometer to work like a regular bike where it is separate from the motor and reports whatever speed the bike it going, coasting or otherwise.

Also, for some reason, all ebikes are geared really strangely - they have very small front rings, and large back rings, so unless you have a fast cadence, it is hard to pedal with the motor assist at 21mph. We upgraded the back gear to have 11 teeth on the smallest, and we're considering upgrading the front ring as well to allow for higher speeds. I would think that an ebike should be geared on the higher side, since there is the motor assist, rather than the same or lower than a regular bike.

But, overall, we're pretty happy - we had considered (and test drove) a $2100 and $3100 Trek bikes at the local store. This is comparable to the $2100, and not as nice as the more expensive one, but at 6X the cost of this bike, isn't really worth the upgrade cost in my opinion.

My wife and I both love cycling and we got an e-bike that was 26" in height and it was a little low for me. My wife decided to use that for herself and I got this 27.5" model. E-bikes are so convenient to ride and use and it makes it easy to go for long rides. Considering the factor that good manual bikes are almost the same cost as this one, it makes sense to go for e-bikes.

My detailed comments are below after using it for a week and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an e-bike in this price range.

My 2 cents are below:

Pros:
- This bike ride is very smooth overall. It handles well in bumps as well because of the front suspensions- Has 3 modes to ride the bike - ebike, assisted bicycle & normal bike.
- Shimano 21-speed transmission system in form of gears and that should satisfy all the needs for any terrain of biking
- Has a maximum speed of around 21.6MPH. I am not sure about you but riding a bike over 15MPH is something my wife and I both don't prefer for safety reasons and hence it delivers as per our needs. It has a 500W high-power motor and immediately catches the speed on pressing the trigger
- 48V battery gives around 43 miles range on a full charge and that is a good number for an e-bike in this price category
- Digital HD led display is very fancy and intuitive but I wish it was colored
- Front suspension is lockable as well to suit your needs
- Has disc brake in both from and rear wheels. It worked great overall for sudden and usual brakes while riding it
- Buttons for horn/headlight are very accessible being under the display facing your side. It is very easy to control even while riding
- Central b/w display visibility is nice even in sunlight. The screen is very bright and has no issues in reading values even in bright light
- Headlight LEDs are bright enough for night rides as well. We usually tend to ride in the evening or when it is about to get dark and hence we liked this
- Overall this e-bike looks fancy and targets youth customers. It would be a great choice for anyone in the '30s
- Tires have good grip overall and we did not feel it skidding as if now
- Great build quality and structure feels very strong from any angle
- It is easy to charge with the access point in a nice area. It charged from zero to full in around 5 hours and I found it to be true to what the manufacturer claims
- Battery compartment is removable and is IP54 waterproof
- Comes very well packed and there was no damage at all
- Bike comes in big packaging with most of the assembly already in place. Just had to fit some parts and screw them up. It was overall an easy assembly but sometimes you may need 2nd hand to get it done easily, especially for hooking the front wheel
- Detailed manual provided and should cover any question you may have during use, however, there is a con as mentioned in the 2nd section
- Manufacturer offers a 1-year warranty on the bike
- Has multiple (4 to be precise) color options to choose from
- Very reasonably priced in this category of product and it is a bank for the bucks

Cons:
- I wish it had rear suspension as well for a smoother ride in plain terrane
- Should have a bike lock inbuilt, preferably an electronic one just like how you have in motorbikes for that convenience to take it anywhere
- I really wish it had rear fenders for dirt protection and a rack to keep something. This bike is made for mountain biking and so mud or water coming on the rear body of the rider is not a very appealing thing
- Taillight is just a reflector and not a brake-operated electric light. When the battery exists with 2 disc brakes in the bike, then the tail light should have been included in this bike
- There are no assembly instructions included in the manual that comes along with the bike

This product is AWESOME! It rides smooth and has a maximum speed of 21.7 mph. Not to mention the sporty look. My son loves it and has been getting SO many compliments about it and now they are wanting to purchase one. One said it was "money well spent!" He said this bike has made him the cool kid on the block! Lol!!! Great job!

I have had this bike for nearly a year and a half now, and use it for recreational riding with my son. He rides a small motorcycle, and I ride this bike so I can keep pace with him without killing myself. The bike is overall a great recreational ride, except for one crucial point:

By far, the worst aspect of this bike is the brakes. They are the worst brakes I have ever had on a bike in my 45 years of riding. From day one, they squealed like a old car's worn brakes. From about a week into owning this, I had to tighten the brakes after every ride. They will frequently stop working five minutes into every ride, and I have to resort to Flinstones-style braking. I have destroyed a perfectly good pair of shoes because of these horrendous brakes. I will have to replace the entire braking system to fix the problem. Until then, I will not be riding this.

UPDATE 1:

I have recently decided that I want to keep riding this bike, so I started investigating the brakes. I have zero experience with disc brakes, so this is all brand new for me. After watching some YouTube videos, I found out how to locate and remove the brake pads. The braking material on all the pads is completely gone, so I ordered two sets of replacements (they are cheap, assuming I bought the right ones). I will update this as my experience unfolds.

UPDATE 2:

The brake pads arrived, and I was able to replace the front pads easily. With just the front brake pads installed, the bike stops reasonably quickly on both flat surfaces and on a slight incline like I have in my neighborhood. The pads I bought don't fit the rear brakes, so my rear brakes are non-functional. My riding environment is conducive to single-brake riding, so I will probably ride that way until I find replacement pads that fit the rear brakes.

On the bright side, though, there is zero squealing from the front brakes now.
