It's a 750w motor with a 48v 15ah battery for $800. The bike itself is ok, I had to adjust the breaks out of the box. But it shifts fine, does what it's supposed to do. It's got torque. It's not what I would consider true "Pedal assist" it's more like when it senses you pedaling, it goes whatever set speed you're on based on which level you're in. I honestly like it on level 1 most of the time.

Probably the most annoying thing was it came with literally ZERO installation instructions"¦ it's not that bad to put it together, but if you're not handy, this might be a big reason to look at a different bike.

I'm 5'4", Bike is too tall for me"¦.
Even with seat all the way down I'm still unable to have feet on ground where I feel safe. Needed to be 2" shorter. But unable to lower seat due to suspension spring"¦

More power than the brand letric bike 750 W vs 720 peak. Battery removable. Stand square pad/plastic- dinky feels like it could fall off. Some minor assembly once arrived, finishing touches. Very well packed, protected and cushioned. Handlebar, seat height adustable. Handlebar swivel adustable- no need for aftermarket adjustable stem. Once handlebar unpacked insert HB then attach HB before putting HB up straight. Sort of insert all front bars then stand straight. Once bars up pulls on wires more. Extra kids seat can be removed w a short handeled screwdriver or flip bike upside down. Saddle cushie, fairly comfortable ..get padded leggings or cushion cover if need more. Taillight dims flashes when brakes sqeezed. Made in China, Highway Company HQ in France w 2 warehouses in US. My bike made in 2023 per box. Shipping was via Amazon. The larger truck was used w 2 guys for large items was supposed to give them a unique code in lieu or signature required they said no need and called my # on file to confirm idenitity. Green/blue_ ocean beach color. Not a true blue. Deeper w greenish hues. Which i love! Parts of bike, spokes, zip ties are black. Recommend unpacking assembling outside or brightly light area. Tip bike on side to fold in pedals. They fold up from area just below the nut. Putting bike together from folding clamps itself feels cheap plastic but once you clamp it feels very tight. Silver reflector included not good prefer a rack bag if including bonus items. Only wide enough only for handlebars and fits very loosely. Tires need air before first ride after acclimating to atmosphere. My pen car gauge does not work. Valves are Schrader. Comes with manual tire air pump which stinks need inflator or gauge with the back locking mechanism. Headlight does not move without adjusting base. very bright. Housing is plastic. Use a power strip when charging battery and only charge it as needed, take off charger vs leaving it connected until next ride. Bell is a basic metal bell not so clangy as old style kids bells and its a quick ding ding should not be obnoxious. Display is very good. Basic, easy to read even in bright sunlight. Keeps track of time on and trip miles. Safety items to consider: reflective vest, extra front and tail light, closed shackle padlock for bike lockers, Finish Line ebike chain lube/cleaner. Combo lock included pretty good there are better more tamper proof locks out there. Something to consider when buying any E-Bike in our city Silicon Valley they deem any E-Bike 20mph or less a 'Class 2' and they are allowable in parks, trails, roads. "Class 3" is bikes over 20mph (if hacking the set speed limits) and they are NOT allowed in parks, trails and most other places** Some walkers give E-Bikers a hard time and will say not allowed in parks, walking trails. It took me a few minutes to find what my city guidelines are was not easy to find. Recommend knowing what the rules are before riding. **Will update after 1st rides.

I purchased this E-bike at the end of July and yes, it is now Sept. Today, I finally, (with a friend who has an E-bike), took the bike out and with her help and knowledge, I must say, this bike is fun to ride! Once you get the hang of it, the bike is easy to use and runs great.
Now , let's get to one of the reasons it took me so long to get this bike together. Once I unfolded the bike, I couldn't close the fold fastener to make it flush against the body to lock the safety on the fastener. There was a metal ball like thing that suck out too far. After communicating back and forth for a week because of the time difference and technical problems(my video and their's wouldn't download.it was a simple solution. At the center of the ball is a tiny hexagon hole which you would use the right size allen wrench to screw it in just a little more. Problem solved!
Once I was able to lock the bike, the rest was easy peasy. Every thing went smoothly until I was about to connect the headlight and found the connection had cracked and the pins in it were bent. I again contacted customer service and a new headlight was sent.
The bike looks nice and is easy to assemble, is fun to ride and runs smooth. A great deal for the price!
I had purchased this on Amazon Prime Day and it was on sale for $699. + $50 shipping. I was charged $799 + $50 shipping. I contacted CS and they said they would honor the $699. I am now waiting for my refund.

I bought 2 of these bikes. As a quick overview, the bike is an excellent value, it's best to have mechanical aptitude to fix things and customer service doesn't understand English or the engineering behind the bike well.
They have plenty of power with 48v/14amp. There is no way someone will sit for long on the back seat. It looks nice and you'll replace it with a velcro attachable bag. The tires easily get flat from even thorns. Based on other similar bike reviews from other mfg's, this is a common problem with these bikes. You need to install a bike tire liner (i.e. Mr Tuffy). These Tires are difficult to change especially on the road. And the design is tricky so install the liner and learn how to change a (flat) tire at the same time. The brakes can be squeeky and shifting is pretty good from the factory but can get wonky. All of this is fixable. So it's best to be mechanical or at least have a bike shop that will work on it. It's no different from other mfg bikes.
One bike had a broken shift dial (1-7). I explained the problem to customer service who were responsive but couldn't understand. I sent a video. They couldn't explain how I was to fix the problem. I disassembled the shifter on the 2nd bike to see where the problem was. Turns out an almost imperceptible tab on the number dial was broken. I told Hitway customer service that Amazon sold it for $15 and gave them the part number. After a few weeks Hitway sent the part to my city but never included my name or address on the shipmentðŸ'„. I reprovided my full address again. Still didn't send it after 2-3 weeks. I inquired and they requested my address a 3rd time finally sending the shifter. And I'd have had a difficult time figuring out how to install it if it weren't for have the second bike.
Who wants to jump thru all of these hoops? But I do like the bikes which appear to be very similar to competitors and about half the price. Is customer service better elsewhere. Maybe so.
