Customer Service
Michael W.✓ Verified Purchase•July 29, 2023
Outstanding customer service. The bike arrived on time and the box was in pretty good shape. It looked Iike a few bumps and scrapes. Assembly was pretty easy. On initial test ride I noticed the shifting was not right. The gear shift lever was cracked. I contacted customer service via email. They shipped a replacement shifter and sent instructions via text. The shifter took 10 days to arrive from China. I was very pleased with the service and the follow up. This is my second ebike. This one is much faster and a smoother ride. However, keep in mind the price point. This bike will not handle serious off road like name brand bikes. It is great for gravel and smooth trails. Customer service sells this bike. Great follow up on my repairs and too see if I needed anything else.
Excellent build quality
KJH✓ Verified Purchase•June 29, 2023
I am very impressed with the build quality on this ebike. I am an experienced mountain biker and was hoping to find a bike that can handle some technical trails AND long scenic rides with my wife (on her Rocky). In stock form this bike can easily handle reasonably smooth dirt trails and the shocks help smooth the ride. I upgraded the fork and rear shock to fully adjustable (compression + lockout + rebound) air spring shocks to handle rocky technical trails and 203mm/180mm (front and rear respectively) brake rotors to ensure I have maximum stopping power on steep descents. Search for "Freesky Swift Horse Upgrades" on YouTube for a video showing my upgrades. For most riders and uses the upgrades are not necessary as the Swift Horse is a great bike in stock form but for those wanting to take on more advanced technical trails so far this bike has proven to be a solid platform to build from.
Buy a torque arm for this bike.

While riding my new swift horse my back wheel came out, thankfully when I felt the wobble I grabbed the back brake and I was able to stop in time before being injured.
This bike is powerful enough to rip its wheel straight out of the frame so a torque arm would be ideal, Which if you look at the photo close enough you'll see I customly built one myself and added it to the bike, once the wheel came out of the frame the wires ripped out of the motor as it was then pretty much useless. So I contacted freesky through Amazon and talked to Andy. They were very helpful and sent me a new motor within a week.
Also after 1 or 2 jumps the front light ripped off the still frame it was attached to, however that big heavy light slowed me down anyways when going through uneven terrain constantly steering back-and-forth the heavy light brings more fatigue so I'm now going with a smaller hand held light which I can mount on the handlebars.
I am giving them 5 stars Because the customer service has been very good And the bike has loads of power and a battery that can go all day on pedal assist one.
The only thing I'm a little disappointed about is how heavy it is, but that is the trade-off when having a battery this big with a 1000 watt.
All in all it's been an outstanding bike and has helped me explore the outdoors in ways I never thought were possible.

Why pay more and get less?

So far, so good. Simply put, this e-bike exceeded my expectations. This is my first e-bike and I wasn't sure what to expect. My wife and sister did a trial e-bike rental for a beach ride and was pretty surprised at how fun it was. I'm a regular mountain biker, hybrid rider and wanted something to have some fun on and ride with my wife on longer trail explorations. This is absolutely the ticket. If your reading this and you are curious if this is the right bike for you, it ultimately comes down to what you are looking for.
I wanted good quality and performance at a reasonable price. This checked those boxes and then some. As many others have said, you could pay 4000+ for a Conondale, Specialized, Trek, etc. or you could pay $1900 for this and get more for less. Sure, if you are looking to impress your yoga buddies, then buy the overpriced version and slip into your local espresso shop to show off. But if you are like me and want to impress yourself and save a few thousand of your hard earned dollars, buy a FreeSky.
Now admittedly, its all up to FreeSky to deliver on the quality over time. I will be updating this review if the bike craps out prematurely, but as for solidness and performance, yaaa, about that.
I purchased the Swift Horse a few weeks back. My wife got the Wildcat. I've only been on a handful of rides to push the limits but the power and performance are clear. I've had it up to 35mph several times with ease in PAS 5 and gear 7. Let me tell you that unless you have a death wish, you don't need anymore power. I've taken it up several steep grade hills at 20mph with ease in PAS 3 and pedaling like I'm doing a easy workout on a stationary bike. Its just smooth and powerful. I've been on the road, some gravel, some trails and like the performance on all. However, if you are looking for the nimble control on tight trails like you might challenge on an intermediate+ MTB trail, this might let you down. I mean, it handles great but its no replacement for that gritty technical enduro ride. However, its skill a kick in the arse.
This is not a knock, but a serious consideration. One challenge to make sure you are prepared for the weight of the bike. Solid? Definitely! Heavy? Definitely. They weigh just over 100lbs. This is not a light bike that you will be routinely slinging onto a traditional bike rack and hauling down the road to a trail. In fact, I purchased a Black Widow motorcycle hitch carrier that we will be using to load our bikes onto, with a little ramp for on/off loading that we will strap them down on for travel. I read too many stories online about people being heartbroken watching their $2000 ebike bounce down the highway after cheap welds broke on standard bike carriers. Besides, I just dont have the back and youth anymore to hoist those up/off of a bike rack.
Other than that, this bike is a beast and the dual suspension makes for smooth riding. It also coasts/glides well, even faster than my regular mountain bike which is way lighter. As for battery, time will tell for sure but after several 11-12 mile rides pushing it pretty good, it has barely touched the battery meter. So I can see getting at least 50 miles without issue. After I push that limit, I will update my post.
As for customer service, hope I never need to use it. However, the contact pre/post sales so far is excellent. Shipping was fast within 4 days because they were in stock.
FreeSky, if you are reading this. Keep up the great work and you better stand behind these bikes!
That's it for now, hope that helps.

Great ebike
CG✓ Verified Purchase•May 15, 2023
Everything except the seat I loved, don't get me wrong the seat is good but seen I have back issues I prefer a larger seat.
Took the bike through and it intermediate MTB course and it performed beautifully. I have yet to go past 1 for PAS because this thing is a beast going up hills with big tree roots and vegetation. If you let it loose it's like a wild stallion so beware😃.
I loved it, easy to put together and performs well in my test.
One other thing, this beast is heavy so make sure to get a good rack. I ended up purchasing a rack with a ramp to load from 1up USA which works perfect for seen I can't lift. Great bike!!
