Disappointing

This is VERY small (like for a little child) and not the best quality, which came as a shock being that it's a Sunbeam product. It doesn't automatically turn off, thus, it stays on as long as it's plugged in and turned on. You can barely get the heat when it's wrapped, and I find that I feel more heat when removing the covering, which isn't good. It's not the worse, but I wouldn't recommend this particular Sunbeam heating pad. They produce SO many other, BETTER heating pads.

Very strong plastic and chemical odors

This heating pad smells so bad of offgassing chemicals that I can't even take it out of the box. We are chemically-sensitive and know that the plastic (and/or other odors) would be enhance with heat. I am trying to return this item but have rec'd. a message that it con't be returned for some reason... so I wrote an email to Amazon, explaining the situation (and that it hasn't even been out of the box). Very disappointed!

This heating pad works very well for me. I bought this to replace my old one. It delivers heat quickly and evenly on 3 different settings. I like that the cord is long enough to reach the outlet when I'm in bed and that the pad is generously sized. Happy with this purchase.
Insert curls in on itself

While the heat settings are correct and yes you can dampen the insert (which is a cheap piece of very thin foam), the whole things curls up inside the cover each time it is used. I have tried everything. The truth is the heating insert is think and cheap but works - it is the outside cover which is so cheap it moves around and the insert curls up on itself. Spend a bit more and get something good. I should have returned this.
