Even if you follow the directions to the letter, the pads fail to heat properly. If you are someone who NEEDS a heat pad to actually get HOT (as opposed to lukewarm) and to STAY hot for more than 5 - 10 minutes, this is NOT the product for you. On top of that, there is NO RETURN POLICY, !!!

I initally bought one for my 80 year old mom, she LOVED it so much, a couple days later I sent her another for her friend, then ordered 2 more - one for me and one for my friend... It just feels great when warmed up for 2 minutes in the microwave then draped over your neck. Pay attention to the instructions, because it is rice filled, you don't want to burn it. Works beautifully! Had an older one, where the rice would move around freely, making it hard to place exactly where you wanted it! The only thing that my husband has yet to get used to, is the rice odor. It's no big thing to me, and no different than the old one. Love the shape, and that it exactly covers the area where placed!

Does not hold the heat for very long and is stiff when I try to wrap it around my neck.. I have had a crainitomy and have scar tissue in my neck, the heat really helps, I do have to heat it up often as it doesnt hold long..
