I got these on sale in the summer and I love them. They activate instantly at one click of the activator and remains hot for a good while. They can be reused repeatedly once boiled back into a liquid state. If your daytime camping location is warm enough, you may even be able to get these to fully revert back to liquid by just leaving them in a closed car's dashboard left out a few hours in the day. By the time colder weather comes, you'll have to boil them on a stove.

These were pretty inexpensive, and that combined with the cool factor make these OK. But they don't retain heat for very long... The disposable/1x use heat packs definitely do a better job.
