I am a big guy, and have large calves. These would fit properly so I returned them. I will say the material, stitching and height of these gaiters was just right, just wouldn't go around my legs comfortably.

They are more adjustable at the calf and the fabric is better than the ones I looked at in the store in person. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised at the good quality I found with these. So much so that I bought 3 more pair for my adult kids for the next trip out into the trails and brush of hiking. . .Could have used these at Grayson Highlands a month ago.

I was looking for an alternative to wearing heavy bulky rubber waders while turkey hunting, and these worked perfectly for what I needed. They kept my pant legs dry from just below the knees down when walking in wet weeds and grass, and kept water from getting down into my boots and on my socks when crossing creeks. If you're looking at these for hunting purposes just be aware that the closure is velcro so putting them on and off is not quiet. Basically put them on before you get in the woods and take them off when you get home or back to your vehicle.
As for the fit, they are universal and adjustable. Once I got them adjusted to where I wanted they stayed in places and I basically forgot they were even on.
