I bought these for trail runs as I was tired of getting small debris in the top of my Altea Lone Peaks. I am 60 years old and ran 6 miles with them today on an intermediate trail later in the afternoon with medium to low light and 64 degrees. Easy to put on, they did not slip or move, but they did heat up my ankle areas a little which turned out to feel good on my old ankles :) Great value for the $$$

I have had a problem with bees stinging me either on the top of my foot or bottom of my ankles - usually through my socks. Bicycle clips help, but I would still get stung. These gaiters seal the bottom of my trousers and protect the top of my feet. They are thick enough to provide protection, while still flexible - excellent!

These gaitors would easily be 5 stars, if they were a left and right leg design. The velcro closes on the outside of one leg and the inside of the other. For a few important reasons, both should velcro on the outside. I considered returning them because of this, but in the seller's defense, the product pictures clearly show the mismatch. Because they still serve the intended purpose, seem to be well made, are priced reasonably and made by and sold by a small business company, I decided to keep them regardless. I just hope they change the design by the time I need new ones.
