This heating pad is the standard kind so I don't have too many complaints except that it has 10 heat settings and it still doesn't get really warm even on the highest setting. My other issue is that the cord is too short. If you are trying to use this in bed and are any distance from an outlet it is really difficult. I had to use an extension cord to be able to use it just to lie on the couch.
