Note: End devices must also support Z-Wave LR and must be added to your system as LR devices.
• •EASY MIGRATION (UPGRADE) FROM OTHER CONTROLLERS: SmartStick G8 supports Z-Wave network migration from other 500, 700 or 800 series controllers equipped with Z-Wave library (ZDK) v6.61 or later. YOU MUST USE Z-Wave JS UI v9.9.0 (or later) to accomplish this migration. HomeSeer (with Z-Wave Plus plugin) and Home Assistant, support this feature. DO NOT USE PC CONTROLLER OR ANY OTHER METHOD FOR MIGRATION - THIS WILL RENDER THE STICK UNUSABLE.
• •DUAL NETWORK SUPPORT: SmartStick G8 is designed to manage a standard mesh network (for non LR devices) and a long range network (for LR devices) simultaneously. Install standard and long range Z-Wave devices in your home and manage them all with Z-Wave LR compatible software and hubs (like HomeSeer and Home Assistant).
• •USER UPGRADABLE FIRMWARE: SmartStick G8 ships with the latest Z-Wave library (ZDK) installed from the factory. As new ZDK versions are released, you'll be able to upgrade SmartStick G8 to stay on the cutting edge of Z-Wave technology. Current firmware version is ZDK 7.22.2 (as of 10/25/24)
